CEREBRAL PALSY

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is a physical impairment that impacts movement, muscle tone and motor skills (the capacity to move in a coordinated and purposeful way).

The three types of CP are:

  1. Spastic CP — causes stiffness and movement impediment
  2. Athetoid CP — results in involuntary and impulsive movements
  3. Ataxic CP — produce a unstable sense of balance and depth perception
